LAND SETTLEMENT
LABOUR PARTY EXECUTIVE ENDORSES MAYOR'S SCHEME At a meeting of the executive of the Rotorua branch of the New Zealand Labour Party held last evening, the following motion was carried unanimously: "That this meeting of the Rotorua branch of the New Zealand Labour Party heartily approves of the prin-M ciple of settling unemployed on the® land as outlined by the Mayor, Mr. f.H Jackson, as it considers that such afl scheme contains at least a portion o» the solution of the country's unem-M-ployment prohlem." a It was decided that Messrs A. G® Cottrell, C. Tuek, and P. CroninS should constitute a sub-committee toi assist the Mayor in the furtheranel of his scheme. Jg
