The Government meteorologist Issued the following weather report and forecast last night; — General Situation: The anticyclone has departed eastward, while the tropical cyclone referred to yesterday moved south-eastward, and to-day has been centred to the East of Noi>folk lsland. • Forecast: Winds, moderate to strong north-easterly to easterly, of gale force North of Kawhia and the East Cape; a general change to strong southeriy is likely within the next 16 to 24 hours. . • . • Weather: Unsettled, cloudy and misty, -with fairiy ge'nera! rain and heavy falls in northern and~eastern "districts of the North lsland; teim peratures becoming cold.
