GRAND THEATRE
TO-NIGHT "The Bachelor Father," which screens to-night at the Grand Theatre as a new Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer talking picture, stars Marion Davies, the vivacious blonde comedienne. It is regarded as an ideal vehicls for Miss 1 Davies' talents. The Belasco stage hit, enjoyed a tremendous international success two seasons ago, playing to. capacity audiences on Broadway for nine months, a record run in London, and tremendous popularity in several other countriea. "The Bachelor Father" is Miss Davies' fourth dialogue film, her first having been "Marianne," directed by Robert Z. Leonard, who also directed her new picture. "The Gay Nineties" was the last film appearance of the popular star. Ralph Forbes, popular leading man, plays opposite Miss Davies in the romantic lead. His last films were "A Lady of Scandal" and "Her Wedding Night."
