DINGHY CAPSIZED ON LAKE WINDEMERE LEADING ENGLISH EDITOR

LONDON, Saturday Mr. E. T. Scott, efiitor of the Manchester Guardian, with his son Richard aged 16 years embarked in a dinghy to board a yacht on Lake Windemere. The dinghy capsized and Riehard clung to the keel and was saved. : Mr. Scott who was a strong swimmer, attempted to reach the shore, hut was drowned.
Mr. Scott recently succeeded his father to the editorial chair of the Manchester Guardian. His father, who died a few months ago, was acknowledged to one of the most brilliant of British journalists, and his death was widely deplored.
