Golf Laurels

What may be an Australasian record has been made by Mr. W. G. Clarke, of the Levin Golf Club, by winning the senior championship of the Levin club 17 times out of 18 entrances for the event. Mr. Clarke, who is only 35 years of age, won his first championship in 1912 at the age of 15. He lost in 1913 to Mr.,C. C. Higginson, and then won 'it for three years in succession. He did not play again until returnlng from the Great War in 1919. From then he has played and won every championship, making the grand total of 17 times senior champion and one runner-up.
