GRAND THEATRE

to-night Life in the raw; a smashing expose of city politics and the machinations of the underworld, filmed with realism based upon actual happenings in American cities, these make up the backhone of "The Secret Six," Metro-Goldwyn - Mayer's remarkable drama of American city life, now at the Grand Theatre. The picture exposes political corruption and the rise of the underworld, and shows their basic courses. It brings historic gang leaders before the audience as living, breathing human entities. It shows them killing, double-crossing each other, "marching in" to stifle business, and reaching evil tentacles into the machinery of the laws. Its amazing climax suggests a remedy. « Wallace Beery plays the central role as the sinister Scorpio, overlord of the underworld of vice. The supporting cast includes Lewis Stone-, Clark Gable, Jean Harlow and John Mack Brown.
