Buying Ammunition During Thursday night's riot in Queen Street, a small boy went into a Chinaman's fruit shop and bought and paid for a large and hard melon. The ipoment he returned to the street with his purchase he turned and hurled it through the Chinaman's plate glass window. Furious with the young vandal, the Chinaman seized some potatoes and commenced to throw them at the urchin. Unfortunately, his aim was bad and he only succeeded in hitting a policeman, who was somewhat annoyed to receive a large potato full on the nose.
