. LONDON, Thursday. The Daily . Expreg.s learns that the Rev. Et. Davidson, Rector of Stiffkey, against whom serious offences have been alleged which are hein'g investigated 'by an Ecclesiastical Court under the Clergy Discipline Act, in order to secure funds for his defence, is considering returning to his former career, giving humorous recitals in puhlic similar to those of ,George Crossmith and Corney Grain. He says he used to, earn £1000 a year, hut he stapped when he was prdained. Mr. Davidson adds that he hates the idea of appearing in puhlic with his hat in his hand. but if. he 6ah earn money for his defence Be will do so.
