BERLIN, Wednesday. A sensatipn l^as been caused by the issue of a decree signed by Marshal von Hindenburg, Dr. Bruenirig (Chancellor), and Herr Groener (Minister of the Interior), ordering the dissolution of Herr Hitler's storm troops, numbering 400,000 on the ground that they are an illegal organisation menacing State authority. The decision was taken at a conference of Ministers of the Interior of the Federal States, presided over by Dr. Bruening, in consequence of the storm troops' repeated violatiops, of the decree forbidding the wearing of party uniforms, also acts t)f terrorism against pplitical opp.oncnts, and the preparation of acts of high treason, as revealed by documents rpcently cpnfiscated "throughout Germany. , Herr Hitler disavows responsibility for the consequences of the disbandment, but the authorities. are confidCnt that the decree can be execu(;qd witho.ut strifp. It is regarded as a heavy blow to. Herr Hitler. The proclamation ordering the disbandment of the Nazi storm troops states that the mere existence of sqch organisations, forming a State within a State is a soilrce of continual unrest and liable to crpafe conditions similar to civil 'war. The decree threatens imprisonment to persons attemptmg fo carry on the ' banned organisations.
