WOMEN LAWYERS IN JAPAN
"Wpmen lawyers in Japan will come into their own this year. New regulations affecting the Bar, with an amendment extending to women the right to practise law, will become effective on July 1. Women .who have graduated from law colleges and passed. the Bar examinations will be a,llowed the titles of prohationary attorneys and may become attorneys after 18 months' apprenticeship in a recognised law office. Several , hundred women will be graduated from law schools in the spring.
