A request that New Zealand should be represented at the Imperial Econoxriie Conference at Ottawa by the Prinfe Minister, the Rt, Hon. G. W. forhes, the Rt. Hon. J. G. Coates, and Sir James Parr, was made by a deputatibri to Cabinet frpfn the Farm- 1 brs' Uriion, the Sheepowners' Federatien, and the export eontrol boards today. . ! The Government was also risked to make rin early announcement of the personriel bf the Dominion delegrition. Iri reply, Mr: Forhes sriid he did not wish the impression tb go ahroad that the "GbVerriment had been doing nothing to prepare for the conference." They had been in touch with 'Aristralia as rirell as with the Imperial arid other authorities, while a subcomfriittee ifi Ne'w Zealand had heen grithering local iriformation frorii the pririiary and seeondary industries. He would go into the question of represeritation, but he was waiting for the ageridri paper, which would very likely include such questio'ns as currency and banking. The subjects on the agenda would have to be taken into consideratibri iri making the selection of representatives.
