Strange Use for Trailer. A motor trailer for the carrying of camping otftfit or luggage is not an uncommon sight these days, but a Wanganui resident who recently returned 'from the South Island relates an interesting usie of the trailer. On the main road between Cheviot and Christchurch, the W anganur-par-ty passed a motor car, behind which trailed a horse in a two-wheeled "float." The equine.passenger was the sole occupant of the vehicle, which had apparently been built for the purpose of transpoxting the horse to several of the country shows. Members of the family occupied the motor car. High Standard of Pness. "I would like to congratulate New Zealand whole-heartedly on the high standard of its press," said Mr. W. A. Briscoe, of London, at Auckland. "In proportion to its size, it hears fevoui'able comparison with the best newspaper traditions of the world."
