MAJESTIC

TO-DAY AND TO-NIGHT The youngest cast ever assembled for a feature length talkie was presented again last night at the Majestic Theatre. - ^ Until "Skippy" began production the record for youthful acting talent in a full-length picture was held by "Tom Sawyer,'" That production comprised a cast of children up to the age of 15. Many of the minor players were as young as nine. • Hpwever, in "Skippy," all the youngsters are still in the grammar school class. The majority of them are around six and seven years of age, with a few ten years old. Ninetyfive children under the age of ten were assembled in Hollywood for the minor parts. The cast is headed by Jackie Cooper, as Skippy, and Robert Coogan, as Sooky. Jackie Cooper is only six years old, and Robert Coogan, younger brother of Jackie Coogan, 'celebrated his fifth birthday last December. Other leading child parts are played by Mitzi Green/nine years of age; Jackie Searl, who is eight, and Donald Haines, who has 3'ust become nine. All three of these children have been in pictures for more than two years. Of the entire cast of children, minor as well as maj'or role players, the only one who is making film debut ! is Robert Coogan.
