HAMILTON. Wednesday. A prelimiriary aiid informal .meeting of the Nb. 3 District LiceiiSihk Authority will be held in Hamilton on Tufesday. No official business will be transacted, as the agenda Will merely enihrace matters bf organisation. It is expected that the first puhlie meeting iri Hamilton will take pla'Ce on the Tuesday following. Fifty-two applicatioiis have already heen received from all over the district., * . ' Tbe No. 3 district comprises tlie counties of Raglan, Waipa, Waikato, Hauraki Plains, Coromandel, Thames, ■Ohinemuri, Taitranga, Piako, Matamata, Rotorua,, Taupo, "Whakatane and Opotiki, and all the boroughs in 01* contiguous to them. (It covers the largest area of any of the North Island authorities, arid is prohahly more congested from a traffic service point of view than any outside of the Wellington and Auckland city districts. The headquarters of the No, 3 aUthority will he at Hamilton, ,hut- it will be necessary for its members to hold meetings at various plaees throughout the district. In common with the other district authorities, howevfer, it will only deal with services running within its boundaries. All ^services operating iii at least'. twa-dis-tricts are dealt with hy the centfal authority at Wellington.
