KNIFE ATTACK
english girl wounded twenty times by indiAn. Miss Hebu Yamalee, an English girl living in Bombay, was attacked, in her hoiise, by an Indian who inflicted 20 knife-wounds. Most of them are superfieial, and Miss Yamalee is in no danger. She was returning from a dance at the Italian Consulate, accompanied by a British officer, who left her at the door. She was lying on a couch when her assailant, stated to be a Moha'mmedan, rushed at her with an open claspknife. In the succeeding struggie her ; feet were badly cut. The mah, whosp. fiiotivfe is believed to have- been theft, was afterwards caught and given iiito custody. .
