Grace Moore, famous Metropolitan ' opera soprano makes her debut on the talking screen as Jenny Lind, historic Swedish singer, in "A Lady's Morals," Metro-Goldv/yn-Mayer's vivid romance, based on the life of the j opera celebrity of the past, and which opens at the Majestic Theatre to-day. | The picture deals with the career of the "Swedish Nightingale," and her sensational appearanee in New York under the auspic'es of P. T. Barnum, pioneer of showmanship, and the romance is between the singer and a blind song composer. The plot opens with Jenny Lind at the height of her success in Europe, and continues with her romance with the composer, Paul Brandt, who goes blind and then hides from her sight; then follows her, coming to New York for the Barnum engagement, whare she is re-united with her sweetheart. Jobyna Howland, .famous on the stage in "The Gold Diggers," and on the screen in "Dixiana," appears as a tempestuous companion; Gus Shy, is the Bowery entertainer. The picture marks the first talking screen work of Carrie Jacobs Bond, composer of "The End of a Perfect Day," whose song, "Lovely Hour," was specially written for Miss Moore.
