EXCELLENT PROGRAMME ARRANGED FOR MONDAY An excellent programme has been arranged for the second broadsiding meeting at the Rotorua speedways, ' situated near the three-mile peg on 1 the Te Ngae Road, on Easter Monday. ' Lorne of the leading exponents of dirttrack riding in Auckland will be pre- : s nt, while there are several entries ; i i om Whakatane and Rotorua. ; The clouds of pumice dust which to a certain extent marred the success of the opening meeting, will be effectivtly done away with on Monday, and I all sprctators are assured of an excellent view of the racing. The Auckland entrants include almost every rider of note in the city. Charlie Goldberg made a name for himself when riding on grass tracks, and has also performed with outstanding success, since taking up dirt track racing. Frank Day, Bobby Cairns and | Doug. Mattson are always champions I at the meetings at Western Springs. | Doug. Mattson is a brother of Alf. Mattson, the Auckland and Dominion champion. Bill Herbert also has several wins to his credit. Another outstanding rider is Charlie Morgan. who resided in Rotorua before go- [ ing to Auckland. Two Rotorua boys, ' Sid. Williamson and Bill Grey have : entered for several events. Good prizes are being offered in all events, the total prize money being over £47.
