"One of the portable furnaces ilted over, and hot cinders fell on Ihe oil-soaked wooden scaffolding a id caught fire. Harris, in the howliug ga'e. crawled along the arch and with a krefe cut the ropes holding the huge stag'ng and let the blazing mass fall into the harbour."
