PALMERSTON NORTH WINS FIRST PRIZE IN "LUCKY STRIKE" LIST OF PRIZEWINNERS 0 AUCKLAND, Saturdcy. •The Lucky Strike Art Union, the second art union to be drawn in Auckland, was drawn in the Town Hall this afternoon. The drawing attracted a large number of spectators wno showed a keen interest in the proceedings. The winner of the first prize of £2000 was W. M. J. O'Brien, 29 Burke Street, Palmerston North, the second, £500 going to "Will I Win," Christchurch, and the third, £250, to Mr A. E. Gibbon, Barrington Street, Spreydon, Christchurch. The fourth, fifth, sixth and seventh were each of £100, one each going to ticket-holders ] in Levin, Penrose, Christchurch and I Duned'n. Southern districts, par iculaNy 'n the South Island, were con- j tinually called, very few going to peonle in the Auckland district. The dvawing was sunervised by Mr -P. J.. Kelleher, Under-Secretary of Internal Affairs.
