KITCHEN EVENING

The residence of Mr. and Mrs. A. G. Holland, Carnot Street, was last Friday evening, the scene of a very bright little kitchen evening. The party was organised by- friends of Miss Jean Giesen, 'in honour of her approaching marriage to Mr. J. Speer. , Miss Giesen wore midnight blue and biscuit ninon, and Mrs. Holland cerulean ' blue embossed georgette. An amusing competition resulted in Miss D. Griffiths annexing the prize, while Mrs. George Marshal and Mr. R. G. Webb were successful partners in the ping pong tournament. Dancing throughout the evening. was held in the - drawing room, prettily decorated with purple asters. Red and gold dahlias and French marigolds decorated the ping pong room.
