Rec. Mar. 16, 7. p.m. LONDON, Wednesday. In the House of Commons, Capiin D. E. Wallace, Civil Lord of the Imiralty, told an inquirer that there i!l be £618,000 on the Naval Esti:ates for work on the Singapore laval Base. Good progress was being ade in the actual work, and there 'as every reason to believe that it :rald be completed in 1935. Owing to the financial situation, aptain Wallace continued, they had )t to date prepared plans for the Mipletion of the Base, but the Adiiralty was giving its attention to asubject.
