VINEGAR HINTS.

A spoonfui of vinegar added to the water in which* a fowl is boiled will make it much more tender. Add a little vinegar to the last rinsing water for silk. This does away with any possibility of soap being left in the garment, which is often the cause of silk rotting quickly.
