An amazing scene was withessejd as the army performed military evqlutions delighting the crowd and proving that they had undergone many months secret dfilling. The police, whose duty until last week would have been to arrest the marchers, had n'ow been ordered tq assist the demonstration, controlling the crowd and reguiating the traffic. Another banned society has reappeared, the Tumahn Na Ban, or the women's Republican qrganisatioxi, consisting of sevepal neatiy uniformed girls, whom the police gallantly helped through the crowd.
