A further public service "wa ge and salary cut of 10 per cent. is reeommended, also a reduction of pension payments "by £599,925, a reduction of expenditure on education of £369,950, and the transfer to the 'Consolidated Fund from motor taxation of £500,000. Iln addition a reduction of 15 per cent in the interest on all internal Governnient loans bearing interest of 41 per cent and over is reeommended. It is also suggested that a considerable saving could be effected by arranging witK the Admiralty to resume unconditional control of tlie New Zealand Division of the Royal Navy. Another proposal is that the number of members of both Houses of Parliament should be reduced as an econoiny measure. ; Discontinuance of the payment to the Rotorua Borough Council of portion of the bath fees, estimated at £li70 is also reeommended. '
