This year, however, it has been decided to make the change at 11 p.m. on Saturday evening, instead of at 2 a.m. on Sunday morning, as was previously the case. A Rotorua tractor owner recently made application to the Rotorua Borough Council for permission to drive his tractor in certain streets cf the borough. Proposed Swimming Club. Following the recent exhibition given in Rotorua by the Auckland team of New Zealand championship swimmers which visited here last weekend, strong support has been given to a proposal to form a swimming club in the town. The project had already been reeeiving consideration when the offer was received from the team to give an exhibition, and the evidence of public interest which was forthcoming on that occasion has crystallised the determination to proceed definitely with the formation of a club. A meeting of all persons interested in f orwarding* the project has been called for this evening at 8 o'clock in the Citizens' Club.
