He pointed out, however that a dental nurse had been definitely allocated to the district and was expected to he available ahout the end of this nionth.

"On learning that the subsidy would definitely not be available," wrote Col* onel Saunders, "I discussed the question of accommodation at Rotorua with the Director-General of Health and am pleased to he able to say tkaj he has offered to place accommodation at King George V. Hospital al your disposal to accommodate the dental clinic in the meantime." In conclusion the director said thai he had instructed Mr. F. B. Rise, district dental superintendent at Auct. land, to visit Rotorua as early as possible to inspeet the accommodatioi; offered and to confer with the school committee regardnig the preparatiot of the clinic. A letter was also received by thf committee from the Auckland Educa- | t'on Board advising that the Healtf Department had approved of the establishment of a dental clinic in Rotorua and that the qnestion of proviiing funds for the erection of tfc clinic -was under consideration.In or-1 der to avoid capital expenditure ti the meantime, the Department ha: | suggested that temporary accommoda- 1 tion he secured at Rotorua and th| .
