TRANSFERENCE OF PLANT FROM BRITAIN TO DOMINIONS HAS GOVERNMENT'S BLESSING

Rec. Feb. 24, 7 p.m. LONDON, Tuesday. In reply to a request in the House of Commons for information in regard to suggested transference of sections of the textile industries to the Dominions, Mr. Runciman saidi the possibility of British industries and Empire industries making arrangements of mutual beneficial cooperation were under consideration in preparation for the Ottawa Conferenee. A Member: Has it been suggested that the textile industry should' transfer part of its machinery to the Dominions? ' / Mr. Runciman: No, I am not awareof any official suggestion in that dirnction, but any arrangement made by the British textile trade and the Dominions has our blessing.
