EXCELLENT ENTRIES AND IUDGES COMMEND QUALITY ; SU€€ESSFOL FIXTURE RESULTS OF THE IUDGING The Whakatane Agriculture and Pastoral Associaticn' held its annual show at Taneatua yesterday. The weather wras ideal, and the exhibits numerous According to the judges, the quality of the exhibits was quite up to standard and the judging was consequently difheult. The show was very well attended, but owing to the Assoeiaton reducing the entry fee it is expected that the takings will be approximately 25 per cent, below last year. However, the committee are extremely satisified with the result which has justified with their continuing the event.

Special attentlon was drawn by the various judges to Mr. W. G. Cart wright, whose exhibition of poultry was well worthy of note, also the exhibit of the Whakatane Borough Couneil's draught gelding which has won this prize six years in succession. Exhibits and entries wero received from the whole of the Whakatane County district and Opotiki and Tauranga districts.
