Norman Kilner and Len Bates have been running a winter school of criclcet for girls. The results so impressed the authorities that the girls have been offered a fixture on the W arwickshir e county ground. One of the teams is likely to be captained by Connie Edge, who has made many centuries and is i "demon" howler with a "hat trick'" to her credit. Mr. R. Y. Ryder, the Warwickshire secfetary, says that cricket for girls in the Midlands is a serious rival to tennis.
