Mr. E. G. Guy, general manager of the Rotorua Morning "Post," left for Auckland yesterday to attend, the annual conferenee of the NeWspapers' Proprietors' Association, which is being held there. Mr. C. Cottrell has left Rotorua to resume his studies at the Teachers' Training College, Auckland. During the race meeting DetectiveSergeant Thompson (Hamilton), Constables Mallabond (Arapuni), Cotter (Putaruru), and Connor (Matamata) have been attached to the Rotorua station. Mrs. King Davis, of Wellington, Mr. H. G. Kirby, of Auckland, and Mrs. Ellis and Mrs. W. F. Fowler, of Geelong, Australia, are at Brent's Bathgate House. Miss Mappin and Mrs F. C. Mappin, of Auckland, Mr. B. O. Forknall, of Boston, U.S.A., and Miss L. C. Dingeman of Detroit, Michigan U.S.A., are among the guests at the Grand Hotel. Mr. P. T. Sheppard Mr. L. W. Mapin, Mr. and Mrs. Brett and Miss S Brett, of Auckland, are staying at Brent's Bathgate House'. Mr. W. R. Belding and Mr. H. G. Williams, of Wellington, Mr. F. Cohen, of Adelaide, Mr. J. G. Buining, of Amsterdam and Mr. and Mrs. C. M. Tallack, of London, are at the j Grand Hotel.
