MR. LANG REBUKED

GREATER ADVANCES THAN ANY OTHER GOVT. £18,000,000 IN TREASURY BILLS SYDNEY, Tuesday. The Acting-Leader of the Opposition, Mr. B. S. B. Stevens, who was Colonial Treasurer in the Bavin Ministry, has made the following statement: "The Commonwealth Bank Board (which consists of capable, disinterested, honest and non-political men) has issued to this State since Mr. Lang has been Premier no less than £18,000,000 by way of treasury bill accommodation. As I have often pointed out, Mr. Lang has had by way of bank accommodation more in 15 months than any other New South Wales Government has ever had in 15 years." Mr. Stevens made this' statement in reply to Mr. Lang's at the Labour Conference that the fight was one against the bankers' policy.
