PLANS FOR RAISING OF PADDLE STEAMER RANGIRIRI

HAMILTON, Monday. After resting forty years buried in the mud on the eastern bank of the Waikato near the Soldiers' Memorial Park, the paddle steamer, Rangiriri, will, if plans materialise, be raised by the sons and daughters of the original Fourth Wailcato Re.glment, of whom the liistoric vessel is the only remaining relic. Although tbe question of raising the vessel has been actively discussed little bas been done, the first definite steps being taken ofi Saturday afternoon when the sons and daughters of the members of the Fourth Waikato Regiment met in Pearson's Hall, Hamilton East, to discuss the possibility of restoring.thie boat to something resemhling its original condition.
