SIR JOHN SIMON REPORTS ON DISARMAMENT GONFERENCE

LONDON, Monday. Sir Johin Simon, Britain's representative, interviewed on his return to London from Geneva, said a good beginning had been made at the Disarmament Conference. There was a general feeling- that the conference would lead to more tangible results than were oi'iginally expected in some quarters. There is now a probability that the general discussion, which it was formerly anticipated would drag on until Easter, will he concluded within a fortnight, thus enabling the sub-committee to get to work.
