Heavy rain, partieularly in the back country, has been f esporisible* f or 'another rise in the rivers of th'e Hawke's Bay district, and in th'e case of the Tutaekuri River -at Meeanee. This' afternoon -the position wris" almost as serious as it hris been at any stage during the present w'et' spell. However, at dark it was -'reported that the river had begun to show sigris of falling.'
