KEEPING WINDSCREEN CLEAR IN WINTRY WEATHER. The following mixture is recommended for lceeping the windscreen clear in wintry weather: One fluid ounce of water, two fluid ounces glycerine and one drara of common salt. A piece- of gauze or cheesecloth is saturated with th.s and used to wipe the front of the windscreen, with downward strokcs. This will keep drops of rain from collecting on the glass for some time, as the rain water mixes with the glycerine and runs down instead of standing on the glass and interfering with vision.
