NEW YORK, Wednesday. At Lake Pladid/Leife, Brookspotter (Canada), set a new world's record for women skaters-to-day-by winning the first heat of the 1,000 metres exhibition race in' tWo minutes ten and one-fifth s.econds, against the previous record of- 2m 16 -2-5s.
