WELLINGTON; Wednesday. Under the terms of the Mortgagors' Relief . Amendment Act of last session, provision was made for- the appointment of a Mortgagors! Liabilities Adjustment Commission fo consider applications by mortgagors and report on them to the Adjustment Court. No limit w^ts placed by statute On the number of the commission, but it was decided to coustitute q. com«tnission in each'. of -the 11 land districts of the Dominion. These commissions are now being set Up by the Government. ' . . - i In addition to reporting to the court on the cases- . submitted. to them, the Adjustment- Commission will have power, with the coiicurrence of the Minister of.-. Finance, to endeavour to permit a voluntary modification by the parties to any mortgage, of their mutual rights and applications. , . ■
