Sir, — It has come to our knowledge that some person (or persons) is canvassing the people of Rotorua, soliciting funds allegedly for the benefit of the Relief Workers' Association. May we officially inforin the citizens of this town that our association^ desirous of ' being self-supporting, has not eanvassed for donations and has no intention of doing so. The persons so engaged have absolutely no authority to .collect funds for the association and we take this opportunity to warn the public generally ^against this despicable form of criminal mendicancy. — We are, etc.,
