CHRISTCHURCH, Wednesday The Canterbury Jockey Club has made a reduction of £680 in its stakes for men to the inside enclosure in-" Easter and the Great Autumn Handicaps Will he worth £500 each instead of £750. At the summer meeting on February 20 the admission charge will he 5s for men to the inside enelpsure instead of 10s. At its monthly meeting the Canterbury District Racing Committee recommended that the jockey's license of C. E. Eastwood he withdrawn but that he be granted permission to work in a training stable.
