The Princess Royal's huge 5 -ton burglar-proof, case-hardened steel safe, capable of holding six men, was to-day swung out of a top floor window of Chesterfield House. Viscount Harewood and his wife have sold this' fesidence for 'reasons of economy. The safe will be conveyed to the new town house in Green Street, which the Queen bought last year. The safe contains Princess Mary's jewels, plate and other property, valued at thousarids of pounds. " Only she knows the combination of the lock, and she always opens and closes it herself. She "insists that the i safe should be placed in her own bed- ' room. It will similarly be installed in Green Street, where the floors are being specially strengthened. f The removal of the" safe occupied six men for four days. The report that Henry Ford is buying Chesterfield House is denied from America.
