SPONGE PUDDING WITH FUDGE SAUCE
4 eggs, I cupful cold water, - teaspoonful salt, i cupful castor sugaf, 1£ teaspoonfuls baking powder, | teaspoonful vanilla essence, 1£ cupfuls flour. Beat eggs and sugaf together till honey coloured. Stir in the water and the flour, the baking powder and salt sifted together, then the vanilla. Bake in a buttered baking tin in a moderate oven for about 20 to 30 minutes. When cold, cut into squares and serve with fudge sauce.
