DEFEND ANTS IN HONOLULU MURDER CASE IN NAVAL CUSTODY

HONOLULU, Saturday, Mrs Fortescue, Lieut. Massie and the two naval enlisted men who are charged with the murder of Joe Kahahawai, a Japanese were relefased to the Navy's custody about noori today after the Secretary to tbe Navy had approved of the arrangement for their admission to bail. They spent the night in the police station, where they were made as comfortable as possible, and after the Court proceedings they left for the Navy Yard at Pearl Harbour. An earlier message stated that Mr. Justice Cristy had refused to admit Mrs. Fortescue and the other def endants to bail nnless tbe Secretary of the Navy guaranteed their appearance in court when required.
