On the same date the second intalment of the emergency charge on wo-thirds of income for the year end■d March 31, 1931, falls due. -The: •>erson who declare-s his income to the lommissioner of Taxes must forward the appropriate amount of tax with lis dc-claration, and the person who leclares to the secretary of the- Post nd Telegraph Department must pay .he amount of tax due on presentaJon of his declaration at a mone-y-order office. Youths who attain the age of 20 years after November 1, 1931, and m or before February 1, 1932, are iable for the February instalment ~)f the charge on income. Default in payment of the charge :or more than a month after the due late lende-rs a person liable, on sumnary conviction, to a fine of £5, and Iso to a penalty, without eonvicion, of 10 per cent. of the amount )f the charge not paid.
