4 eggs, £ cupful cold water, - teaspoonful salt, £ cupful castor sugar, 1£ teaspeonfuls baking powder, £ teaspoonful vanilla essence, 1£ cupfuls flour. Beat eggs and sugar together till honey coloured. Stir in the water - and the flour, the baking powder and salt sifted together, then the vanilla.
