AUCKLAND, Saturday. The Wilding Shield matches between Canterbury and Wellington were played to-day. Results : — Singles; Angas (Canterbury) beat D. G. France (Wellington) 6-2, 4-6, 6-2. Barnett (Canterbury) beat Wilson (Wellington) 5-7, 9-7, 7-5. Glanville (Canterbury) beat Roussell (Wellington) 6-3, 6-4. A. L. France (Wellington) beat Paterson 6-4, 6-3. Doubles: France and France v. Angas and Barnett, 4 all, • unfinished; Wilson nd Roussell v. Galnville and Paterson, 4-1 unfinished.
