A motor lifehoat capable of righting itself in four seconds if holed and capsized was formally handed over to the Royal National Life-boat Institution on the Thames, and was later shipped to the East Coast of Scotland, where it will he stationed. In rough weather the boat can aecommodate thirty people, and if a sea breaks on board it can free itself in twelve seconds.
