EXPORTS IMPROVE AND IMPORT VbLUME DECREASES FIGURES FOR DECEMBER

WELLINGTON, Thursday. Figures for overseas trade, for New Zealapd for December, -1931, show that the exports are vajued at £3,338,184, and imports at £1,793,658. For the correspondiiig period of 1930, "the figureS we¥e £2,969,504 and £3,i47,-' '962 respectiVely. ' • For the period of twelve months ended Decehi'ber 1931, the expOrts Were valbed at' £3 1,1 53,028 and imports 'at £24,812,958, comparOd with £44,940,692 and £43,025,914 respectively for the same period of 1930.
