CHRISTCHURCH, Monday. Discovered lying above the strongroom in the Christchurch Tramway Board's premises in Falsgrave Strdet, Robert James Foote, a labourer,-aged 41 years, was charged this' morning with being found on the board's premises Without lawful excuse. ' 'When accused appeared before Mr Mosley, S.M., ' Senior-Sergeant Fox asked for a remaild, as the circuimistances of the arrest were such that :a more serious charge might be pref erred. About six o'clock last evening a tram conductor heard a peculiar t.apping coming from between tbe ceiling and tbe roof of the depot. He investigated and -found accused. The remand was granted. Foote pleaded guilty to the charged pref erred
