• WELLINGTON, last night. ' Cabinet sat'this evening discussing the financial position of the country and plans for tbe legislative programme for the coming emergency session Many important decisions will be dejlayed' , 'until recommendations have been made by the special Economy Gommission, the personnel of which will be announced shortly. The Prime Minister, the Rt. Hon. G. W. Forhes,. hopes to make an announcement regarding the" conimisSion before the ehd of the- week. It is expected that the commission will kibmit an interim report' in order that its recommendations may he embodied in the legislation of the emergency session. The declining revenue arid the need for additional funds for titiemployment relief' make it apparent that iricrease'd taxation i's likely if the Unemployment Board's work is to be extended. The removal of award restrictions and checks on employment is believed to be an other important lin'e of legislation likely to be dealt with.
