TOMATO PASTE
2 large tomatoes, 2 ozs. cheese. 4ozs breadcrumbs, 1 egg, . loz. butter, 1 | small onion, pepper and celery, salt. I Scald, peel and cut tomatoes into small pieces. Mince the onion and put onion and tomato in saucepan to simmer until tender. Then add wellbeaten egg and stir quickly until thickens. Take off the stove and add cheese, ' and breadcrumbs, then - pepper, celery and salt to taste. Put into jars and cover with melted butter.
